To prepare for some of the upcoming changes to Ubiquity, I took some time this morning to document the architecture of what’s about to be released as Ubiquity 0.1.3:

The tool I used to make the above diagram is called OmniGraffle, and has been recommended to me over the past few years by most of my friends who use Macs. I’ve only tried it for a few days now, but it’s easily the best diagramming tool I’ve ever used—not only is it easy to make and modify diagrams that look good, it’s also pretty fun. My only misgiving is that there appears to be no way to collaborate on a diagram unless everyone has a Mac and spends $100 on this program.
